BEKAH is a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. She has been playing saxophone for thirteen years and oboe for eight years. She has been teaching private lessons, master classes, and conducting for the last 7 years for numerous middle and high school programs. While at Georgia Southern, Bekah participated in the Georgia Southern Wind Symphony, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, and Southern Saxophones where she played Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bari saxophone. She was also a part of the Southern Pride Marching Band for 3 years, 2 of which she was the saxophone section leader.
Bekah is originally from the Atlanta area, but recently relocated to Winston-Salem to pursue her teaching career. While in Atlanta, Bekah played in several community ensembles where she was the principal player for each group. Before moving to North Carolina, Bekah was the Director of Bands at Peachtree Academy, a private school in Conyers, Georgia and acted as the color guard instructor for 2 of the local high school marching bands.
