Jennifer Wells is a 2001 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelors in Music Education. She taught middle and high school choirs in Winston Salem, NC. In 2005, she moved to Southeast Middle in Kernersville, NC where she spent the next 11 years as choral director. Her choirs consistently received Superior ratings at both Music Performance Adjudication as well as 1st place and Grand Champion at various choral festivals in North and South Carolina. Her Women’s Choir received the Chairman’s award at MPA in 2011, the first year the award was given.
In 2015, she moved to Graham High School in Graham, NC. In the past three years the choral program has grown to include a Mixed choir, Women’s choir, and her auditioned Ensemble.
Ms. Wells has served as a guest clinician for workshops in Forsyth and Alamance counties. She has also conducted middle and elementary All-County Chorus for several school systems in North Carolina.
Ms. Wells is in her 20th year teaching and is currently working on a Master of Music in Music Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She lives in Burlington, NC with her two children and loves kayaking, hiking and cooking.
