Ms. Heather

Violin, Viola, Cello

     Born and raised in Poultney, Vermont, Heather Münch began playing the violin at the age of five. She received her BA from Castleton University with a concentration in Violin Performance, and a Master of Music degree from Purchase Conservatory at SUNY in Purchase, NY.

       Heather has held concertmaster positions for the Purchase Symphony Orchestra, Champlain Philharmonic, the University of Vermont Symphony Orchestra; performed orchestral music at Carnegie Hall; toured in Europe and Asia; participated in masterclasses conducted with members of the Kronos Quartet, Emerson String Quartet, Trio Solisti, Lincoln Center Chamber Music Society; and performed alongside Trey Anastasio, Daniel Bernard Roumain and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

       As a freelance musician, Heather has served on the faculty for Face the Music at Kaufman Music Center in NYC and at Sacred Heart of Greenwich, CT. Heather completed Suzuki teacher training at Ithaca College, is a certified Suzuki instructor and currently operates a private teaching studio in Charlotte, NC.
